Re: HIGH STANDARD/FURTHER TRAINING IN THE UK
I don't know you, your experience and background. But I really can't understand why you seem to be so rabidly against teaching conscious use of counter steering. Actually, it suggests to me that you don't understand it yourself. As a contrast, I use to instruct with the US organisation MSF. They ha...

Re: Dead steering: no feedback
Unfortunately, I don't live in the Netherlands There are a few here who no doubt think that unfortunate too... Not to mention the effects of weight on handling and wear and tear on brakes and tyres etc. And at higher speeds, power steering isn't necessary anyway. No effect on handling - ...

Re: Dead steering: no feedback
Yet again, we have people telling us what is good for us, what we can and cannot feel, what we should have etc. Assumptions that we somehow hold the wheel too tightly, can't feel this or that etc. Power steering reduces the effort a driver needs to turn the wheel at slow speeds. When parking, it hel...

Re: Dash cameras
I bet it would put more than £50 on to the price of a car. Just like sat-navs and audio equipment command a premium when fitted as options. Considering that in many cars you cannot even switch off stability control, ABS, EBD, power steering, what makes you think you'll get a choice of switching a ca...

Re: Censorship and derailment
Oh, and people who say "wtf" and "FFS" should be criticised. The "F" word is generally considered to be foul language and really doesn't have a place on a forum like this. I'm sure the guilty parties will leap to defend themselves with various excuses :soap: May I refe...

Re: Dash cameras
Dashcams or whatever you want to call them should be a factory fit, they will of course condemn you if you are in the wrong but will save your backside if you are in the right and have been wronged No they shouldn't. Cameras don't paint the whole picture. This is no different to the idea of all car...

Re: 40 mph ... Why?
I assume that when the 'advanced' drivers on here decide what is a safe speed for any piece of road, that they would ignore their own judgement and speed up, if it was obvious that one or more cars behind wish to go faster? I wouldn't hinder them getting past me, and might even encourage them to do...

Re: Censorship and derailment
There are several people I take issue with, one is a moderator, whom I find to be overly sensitive. The one person I really can't see issues with is TripleS. But even if I did, I'd have the gumption to say so out loud, within the forum. Oh, and people who say "wtf" and "FFS" shou...

Re: 40 mph ... Why?
As there's no body language permissible on a forum, I find it wholly appropriate to assume whoever posts on it is an ass as I find that saves time. #decideifImeanttoputasmileyonthispostornot Well, as you post on here regularly, I'll just confirm that in your case, it is a wholly appropriate assumpt...
