I heard it suggested, and am personally inclined to think it might happen, that (IAMRS) bikes would probably start up before the car side as Social Distancing (whatever that might mean at the time) is easier on bikes than in a car...

I'm not so sure about 'slippery substances', but locally the road edges are in an appalling state, to the extent that Joe Public is often driving just left of or even over the centre white line on your average B or C road in order to avoid the potholes, subsidence, and surface "imperfections&q...

Personally, I don't want the car thinking it knows better than me when I want to switch the engine off (or anything else like 'I'll always flash three times if you touch the indicator stalk' etc. I always turn them off or get the turned off/adjusted in the ECU). FWIW I'm also with Gareth in the use of an auto box, which is how I drive my partner's GTi having a DSG box. Drives her potty (in both senses)
