Good afternoon :)

Good evening!
Your 'standard' is how you drive alone, not how you drive during a test.

Well hello.

Thankyou, and yes I certainly am
Good stuff - great you've signed up here...I think you'll find the people here are a friendly bunch and always willing to learn.
We have a postponed driving day - now scheduled provisionally for 12th September @ Brecon - you'd be more than welcome to come along.

Forgive me but I'm not quite understanding the OP's initial post.
How does joining here improve skills for a current ES driver, presumably subject to regular checking of those skills and, of course, able to use exemptions to really demonstrate those skills?

Re: Good afternoon :)
I'm imagining someone who had an exemption for joining the IAM and has maintained their membership but the situation which provided an exemption no longer applies. I'm also imagining that discussing advanced driving concepts might help to keep things fresh in a person's mind.
there is only the road, nothing but the road ...

It might also expose them to new ideas that wouldn't necessarily be taught in ES training

Was the reason for my post but OP hasn't returned to clarify.
